Today, we take time to remember and reflect on 9/11. It's a day to honor the heroes and to remember the importance of coming together as a community. We can all be heroes in our own lives by choosing kindness, showing compassion, and helping others.

September is Attendance Awareness Month! Why? Absenteeism in the first month of school can predict poor attendance throughout the year. Daily attendance is one of the most powerful indicators of a student's success in school. Strong attendance helps students achieve! Check out the link below for helpful resources on school attendance.

Join us at Maybeury on Thursday, September 11th for Back to School Night! This evening is a wonderful opportunity to hear from your child’s teacher about the exciting learning ahead, review classroom expectations, and connect with our Mallard community. You’ll also be able to attend the first General PTA Meeting of the year, join the PTA, and grab some spirit wear!

ESL Night is a special opportunity for our LIEP families to come together and learn more about how to set their child up for success at Maybeury. Interpreters will be on campus to support families during the session. Pizza will be provided for families!

We would like to welcome some support staff to our Mallard community. These lovely ladies work with all staff to best support our Maybeury students and teachers. We are so glad they are a part of our team!

We are so excited to start the new school year!

We are so excited to welcome some other staff members to our Maybeury community! We are especially excited to have "Ms. Pink" officially accept the 4th grade position for the 25-26 school year. Stay tuned for more introductions in the coming weeks.

The 2025-26 Convocation provided a great opportunity for Mallard staff to reflect on and connect with the HCPS Core Values. We are geared up for an amazing year!

This year begins with something extra special: a Love Mural gifted by our 5th grade class as they leave their legacy and take on their next chapter of middle school. Maybeury is a school rooted in love: for learning, for one another, and for the community we’ve built together.

And here are our new 2nd grade teachers! Welcome to our Maybeury family! <3

Up next to introduce to our community will be our new music teacher and EXEd resource teachers! We are so happy to welcome them to our Maybeury family!

Introducing our new Kindergarten teachers! We are so excited to welcome them to our Maybeury Family!

It’s almost time! ✨We can’t wait to welcome our students and families back for a new year of learning, growing, and making memories together.📚Join us Thursday, August 14th for Open House to meet your teachers, tour the school, and get ready for an amazing year ahead! #gomallards
