We are grateful to our school counselors, Ms. Pritchard and Ms. Willis, for the support they give to our Mallards each day! @HCPSCounselors @VSCA

Will we have 6 more weeks of winter or an early spring? The weekly forecast suggests spring. What will the groundhog predict??? Comment what you're hoping for...more winter or early spring.

During the month of February Mallards will celebrate Virginia and American Black history makers.

February is American Heart Month. Mallards are taking on the American Heart Association Kid's Heart Challenge this month.

Happy Kwanzaa to those who celebrate!

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

Happy 1st night of Hanukkah to all who celebrate!

We hope everyone enjoys their winter break! We look forward to seeing you in 2025.

While our admin team were sneaking around being Grinchy we had some special Principals for the Day yesterday! Alex and Luke met Dr. Wilkerson, HCPS Elementary Education Director along with taking care of various tasks around the school like completing walk throughs, supporting in classrooms, helping with staff surprises and dismissal to end a fun day of being the principals! It was a great day!

Our last week of a December to Remember is here! Last make this week before Winter Break sparkle with joy and smiles galore!

Congratulations to June, our School Spelling Bee Winner! She will represent Maybeury at the County Spelling Bee in January. We also want to congratulate Blace, our school runner up. We are proud of all of our Mallards who participated in today's school spelling bee!

The Orff Ensemble (select 4th & 5th graders) and 3rd grade did an amazing job performing for our Day Zero day! Come get in on the "Elfie Selfies" this evening for their family performance!

December to Remember Week 2 is here!

Some staff enjoyed time to slow down and enjoy each other's company at our holiday gathering on Friday afternoon.

Feel free to spread some joy and cheer by participating in our optional Spirit Days!

May all who are preparing for Christmas this Advent season find joy and peace!

We have some new folks to welcome who've started in the month of October. We are so happy they've joined our Mallard Family!

Diwali or "Festival of Lights" is a time to celebrate new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness. Diwali is celebrated over five days, with the fourth day marking the start of the Hindu New Year. We wish all who celebrate a joyous celebration. There will be no school for all students and staff on November 1st.

Happy Halloween!
